Babu's notes
- I’ve been for brunch twice, en route to Zinque Venice to get my weekend laptop warrior on 💻 . Amazing service by the staff, the owner came by to chat upon seeing my Los Angeles Athletic Club shirt. Ambiance is wonderful too, beautiful bar area.
Pro tip: Check if the alcohol license is back, in case that is important to you 🍸According to the staff, dinner is where it’s at and it gets busy around 7:30pm, reservations encouraged.
Must get
- The Cacio e Pepe Scrambled Toast ($15). Very filling, the black pepper and pecorino pop! It tasted just like the pasta dish!
- Steak & Egg ($33) was also solid, quality meat, vegetable mash was very tasty (coming from a meat guy!). Very filling entree as well.
Known for
A 1949 Mar Vista grocery reborn in 2025 as a Cal-Italian neighborhood restaurant and bar, keeping the old market's name.
